Frequently asked questions
Do I need expensive SEO tools to use this?
No. You can get meaningful keyword data from Google Search Console (free), Google Keyword Planner (free with a Google Ads account), or Ubersuggest's free tier. Claude Code works with whatever data you have and helps you prioritize within those constraints.
How does it handle keyword clustering?
Claude Code groups keywords by semantic similarity and shared SERP intent. Keywords that Google treats as the same query get consolidated to avoid cannibalization. Each cluster gets a primary target keyword and supporting terms.
What's the best way to use keyword research for a new site?
For new sites, Claude Code applies a topical authority strategy, starting with lower-difficulty long-tail terms that establish credibility before targeting competitive head terms. It maps out a phased approach based on your current domain strength.
